Collection: Camlock Couplings

Camlock couplings connect and disconnect hose lines in seconds without tools. Stocked in aluminium (1/2"–8"), polypropylene (1/2"–4") and 316 stainless steel (3/4"–6"), across Types A to F plus adapters.

Camlock Couplings

Key Features of Camlock Couplings:

  • No Tools Required: A quarter turn of the arms locks or releases the coupling. No threading, no cross-threading, no spanner.
  • Three Material Options: Aluminium (1/2"–8"), polypropylene (1/2"–4") and 316 stainless steel (3/4"–6"), so you can match the fitting to the fluid, the environment and the budget.
  • Full Type Range: Types A to F, plus DC dust caps, DP dust plugs, AA/DA adapters and flange adapters — covering male, female, hosetail and BSP threaded ends.

Applications for Camlock Couplings:

  • Pumping and Irrigation: Fast changeovers on transfer pumps, irrigation lines and dewatering setups.
  • Dairy and Agriculture: Effluent, water and washdown lines where connections are made and broken daily.
  • Fuel and Chemical Transfer: Different coupling body and gasket materials to suit what is flowing through.
  • Food and Beverage: 316 stainless options for processing and washdown environments.

Applications to Avoid with Camlock Couplings:

  • Compressed Air, Steam and Pressurised Gases: Camlocks should not be used on compressed air or steam service. If the arms are knocked open under pressure the two halves separate violently. Use claw couplers for compressed air instead.
  • High Pressure Applications: Check with us if you have a high pressure application and are unsure whether camlocks are suitable.

United Flexible stocks camlock fittings in three materials, so you can match the fitting to your budget and your environment:

  • Aluminium (1/2"–8") — the most popular option for general fluid transfer. Light, cost-effective, and available across the widest size range.
  • Polypropylene (1/2"–4") — corrosion-proof and a good option for aggressive chemicals or where metal isn't suitable.
  • 316 Stainless Steel (3/4"–6") — built for dairy, food, beverage, and chemical applications where hygiene and corrosion resistance come first.

Each material spans the full range of camlock types — A, B, C, D, E, F, DC and DP — plus AA and DA adapters, so you can get male, female, hosetail, and BSP-threaded ends to suit whatever's already on your hose or fitting.

Camlock fittings turn up across nearly every NZ industry we deal with: dairy and agriculture, water transfer, fuel and chemical transfer, food and beverage processing, irrigation, and general industrial fluid handling. The thing to get right isn't just the size — it's matching the material and type to the fluid you're moving, the pressure it's under, and how often that connection gets made and broken.
