Type A Aluminium Camlock

The Type A aluminium camlock is a male camlock coupler with a female BSP thread — used to connect a camlock hose assembly to a BSP threaded pump outlet, tank port, or valve. The female BSP end threads permanently onto a fixed BSP male connection; the male camlock coupler then accepts a female camlock fitting for fast, tool-free hose connection and disconnection.

Camlock couplings (also known as cam and groove fittings) are the standard quick-connect coupling used across irrigation, water transfer, dewatering, and liquid handling in New Zealand agriculture and industry. They connect and disconnect with a quarter-turn of the cam arms — no tools, no threads to engage. A lightweight coupling relative to its strength, aluminium camlocks offer a quick and economical way to connect between fluid transfer system components including piping and flexible hoses.
